The questions are primarily answered by Mufti Ikram Ul Haq president of Fatwa Center of America. All questions are answered in light of the sacred Shariah of Islam.

Mufti Ikram ul haq is the founding president of Fatwa Center of America (previously known as Darul Ifta of Rhode Island) and is the head Mufti there. He graduated with the degree of a Takhassus Fil Ifta from Jamiah Darul uloom Karachi in 2005 having studied under great scholars such as Shaykhul Islam Mufti Muhammad Taqi Usmani as well as the grand Mufti of Pakistan Mufti Muhammad Rafi Usmani.
He completed the bulk of his Islamic studies course at the Institute of Islamic Sciences, Islamabad Pakistan, where he memorized the whole Quran at the age of 11. Thereafter he went on to continue his study of Islamic sciences for an additional 6 years. In year 1421H, Mufti Ikram ul Haq joined Institute of Higher Islamic Education in Buffalo NY and completed his Alim course (Shahadatul Alamiyah) in 1423H. During this course, he studied intensively numerous Islamic disciplines including Arabic, Islamic Jurisprudence, Hadith, Tafseer, Ilm-ul Uroodh Wal Qawafi etc… He also studied the six major books of hadith also known as “Sihah-Sittah” thoroughly with many well learned scholars of Islam.
Thereafter he traveled to Karachi Pakistan for specialization in Islamic Jurisprudence. He was professionally trained and authorized to issue legal rulings (Fatawa). The Ifta course at Jamiah Darul uloom Karachi requires commitment of three full years. It is the longest Ifta course of Hanafi Fiqh. During Ifta course, Mufti Ikram ul Haq completed an in-depth study of classical jurisprudential texts, including among others “Al-Ashbah Wan-Nadhair” by Allama Ibn Nujaim (R.A) and Raddul-Muhtar by Allama Ibn Abideen Al-Shami (R.A). He also studied the principals of Fatwa “Usool-ul Ifta” by Mufti Muhammad Taqi Usmani along with other books of Usool-ul Ifta.
He authored hundreds of Fatawa at Darul Ifta of Jamiah Darul Uloom Karachi approved by the great Mufti’s of Hanafi Fiqh. His Fatawa are now part of hundreds of thousands of Fatawa issued from Darul Ifta Jamiah Darul Uloom Karachi. In the final year of his study, he authored a thesis on the subject of:
"الاحكام الشرعية لقضايا المسلمين فى الدول غير الاسلامية" (Legal rulings of issues of Muslims living in non-Muslim countries) in Arabic language which has delivered Sha’ri solutions to many issues faced by the Muslims living in non-Muslim countries. While in Karachi, Pakistan, Mufti Ikram ul Haq also completed an intensive diploma course on contemporary Islamic banking and finance at the center for Islamic economics.
